My
Story

Sara possesses over 20 years of experience advocating for and working with families to ensure their children receive the necessary services and supports for success. Her background as a School Clinician has equipped her with the skills to build connections and foster collaboration between families and schools.

Navigating the Vermont Special Education System for her daughter over the past 14 years has given her valuable insight into the challenges parents face in securing a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) for their children. Her role as a K-21 Special Educator provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the special education process, including initial evaluations, IEP development, special educational services, and transitional services.

Sara is a passionate advocate for inclusive practices, ensuring all students experience a sense of belonging in both their schools and communities. Her ability to relate to families, collaborate effectively with schools, and cultivate relationships with community partners enhances her professional impact.
